About me

Formally Rebecca. Casually Becky. Beck if you’re not keen on two syllables.
(She’ll let you decide what to call her.) Tillett with two T’s on the end.
Pronounced TIL-it. Other nicknames she’s had: Beck, Beckster, buck-buck-buck-Bucky, One Buck, Beeky, Beelo, Becky Long-Legs, Busy B, Grumplestiltskin, Becky Tilt-it, TillettBurns, SexyBexy, and Tyrannosaurus Bex.

Beckster, a 50% yankee broad, 50% Aussie sheila (one grandfather was a sugar-cane farmer off the Queensland coast; the other an engineer and scientist for NASA) originally from the borderland of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and then a Colorado resident for 15 years, now resides in the Tulsa, OK area with her husband, Mike O’Shenanigans, their little girl, Mina Rumi, two kitties, (Dr.) Henry (Jones Jr.) and Jean (K. Gray), and their pup (Ellen) Ripley.

When she’s not busy riding the wild rollercoaster of inescapable preschooler mood swings, she’s shooting photos of flowers or creating artwork, greeting cards, jewelry and custom engraved cigar boxes utilizing historical/vintage public domain imagery for her and her husband’s little business: Strong and Hardy.

Busy B will also be using her extensive art nude photography experience to open her own boudoir studio in the spring of 2024 because life is short and every woman should get to act, feel and be sexy at least once in life.

Busy B’s many creative endeavors probably started in 4th grade when she won first place in a coloring contest in which all students in the class had to color in an illustration of a dog napping in a window bay.

But perhaps not, because soon after that, she wanted to be an interior designer followed soon by a psychologist, and then a writer.

She was serious about the writing thing though. She still writes as frequently and passionately as someone who just discovered language (when there’s times, of course). If you don’t believe her, just check her blog.

In addition to writing, in her spare time (ha!), Becks recently completed her end of life doula training and has big goals to help her fellow humans have a good death. One Buck also has a big greenhouse and loves plants and gardening (and is currently growing herbs and plants for medicinal purposes), painting and collaging and speculating about the end of all civilization and humanity’s reign on earth while indulging in the beautiful film scores of Max Richter, Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino, and Thomas Newman (among many others).

She also dreams of learning to speak Spanish and adding to her rudimentary knowledge of guitar playing, because apparently her interests and passions just weren’t broad enough for all of the ample time she has available. (Becky also enjoys sarcasm!)

Becky Long-Legs has an A.A.S. in Digital Graphics and Design, as well as a B.A.S. in Social Sciences from New Mexico State University and Regis University respectively.

Photographically, she is self-taught.
And the writing thing is just something she does to function and stay sane in an often insane world.
(Trust her, it’s helps.)
